Hero Lab 3.9a is also out, including an important bug fix. You can download it from the updates mechanism, or from the Downloads section of our web site.

30-Dec-2011   Savage Worlds Deluxe Edition and Super Powers Companion now available

As the end of the year draws close, we've just released Hero Lab 3.9 and updated Savage Worlds data files. The new data files include the Deluxe Edition and are a free update for existing Savage Worlds users!

We've also released a new data package for the Super Powers Companion for Savage Worlds - you can pick it up now. We'll be releasing the Fantasy Companion and Horror Companion in early 2012 - if you want them all, you can save money by buying the Savage Worlds Companion Bundle, and they'll be added to your license as they're released!

The Pathfinder Bestiary 3 is now available as a new package in Hero Lab, plus we've added a Bestiary Bundle - 15% off if you buy all three Bestiaries together! Dragon Empires Gazetteer has also been added to the Campaign Setting #7 package.

If you missed it before, we've also released Hero Lab for the Pathfinder Beginner Box, a new free application that lets you create characters and manage encounters for the Beginner Box. Check it out - it's free to all users!

It's taken us longer than expected to sort through the substantial number of responses we received to the survey about being a beta tester for Realm Works.

At this point, we expect to conclude our selections and notify all those selected before New Year's Eve. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to move through the beta process for Realm Works.

We're proud to announce that our new FREE application, Hero Lab for the Pathfinder Beginner Box, is now available!

This free version of Hero Lab allows anyone to create and advance characters through levels 1-5 of the Pathfinder Beginner Box rules, and lets GMs create and manage Beginner Box encounters. Best of all, unlike the regular Hero Lab, it's free!

Great news - it's day 1 of Gen Con, so the Shadowrun and Ultimate Combat data packages are now officially released!

As with all of our game systems, you can download the Hero Lab demo and take Shadowrun for a test drive, so if you're interested give it a try!

04-Jun-2011   Hero Lab 3.7 released, and introducing Powered by Hero Lab!

The long-awaited Hero Lab 3.7 update has just been released! Here's some of what we added:

• New Pathfinder data files released, including a new optional supplement package - Ultimate Magic! (Note that Words of Power are not included in the Ultimate Magic content yet - they'l be added as an update to the package sometime this month.)


• Custom output has been enabled for Pathfinder, the d20 System, both Mutants & Masterminds editions, and Savage Worlds! This allows users to define their own custom output types, which can then generate custom character sheets. See the manual for details.


• When printing your hero or generating a statblock, you can now choose to output every hero in the portfolio, allowing you to output multiple characters at once.


• New scrollable tabs allow Hero Lab to look great on smaller screens, for example on the Class tab in Pathfinder.


• Third-Party Updates allow easier management of updates created by independent authors for Hero Lab game systems.


• Hero Lab has a new installer, which complies with new program requirements in Windows 7. This means it no longer requires administrator rights to run if installed in certain locations.
