– Technical Details –
For those of you interested in the nuts and bolts about Tournament Ace, the pertinent technical details can be found below.
The Tournament Ace application is a native Windows application, providing a feature-rich experience. The .NET Framework is required to install and run Tournament Ace.
The initial release of Tournament Ace will be Windows-only, although the potential for a Mac port is being investigated.
Internet Access Required
All Tournament Ace data is managed on a high-availability server to ensure 99.9% uptime. Internet access is required for Tournament Ace to access your tournament information.
Browser-based access is optionally available before, during and after events. Players can pre-register for events and access other features in preparation for a tournament. This also allows remote data entry for competitions that run in several different locations at once. (Browser-based access is limited in scope regarding what features can be utilized.)
Users can sign into Tournament Ace and view all the events they are associated with, including all past events, future events, and in-progress events. Access is available to both events being administrated and those in which the user is a competitor, with suitable restrictions for each.
