Lone Wolf Development is Seeking Volunteers for Origins Game Fair 2014!

Hero Lab

Lone Wolf Development wants to bring our character creation stations to Origins Game Fair 2014. With the character creation station, all Origins attendees can create and edit characters for any system supported within Hero Lab (Pathfinder, Shadowrun, etc.), print them out, and bring them to their next game session. To make that happen, we need assistance from the gaming community! Most of the Lone Wolf staff is based out on the West Coast, so it’s not easy getting people out to the Midwest to staff events like this. We’re looking for some experienced Hero Lab users to help us demo the product over the 5 days of the show.

(If you have questions about Origins Game Fair in general, you can find out more details here.)

If you’re interested in this opportunity, read on!

Volunteer Requirements

Here’s what we’re looking for from our volunteers:

  • Commit to working a total of 32 hours over the 5 days of the show (Wednesday through Sunday). Schedule permitting, you can arrange your time so that you can go to show events you’re interested in.
  • You should have in-depth knowledge of Hero Lab. You should be able to demo Hero Lab competently, going into the “gory details” of at least one game system, preferably either Pathfinder or Shadowrun.
  • You should enjoy helping new users. You’ll be representing and demoing Hero Lab to new users for 32 hours of the show, so you need to give a good impression.

Work means hanging out at our Hero Lab demo stations, demoing the product to users and answering questions about it. Lone Wolf staff will always be available to help if you have questions about anything.

As a thank you for helping, here’s what we’re offering our volunteers:

  • Free exhibitor badge – this gives you all the benefits of a regular attendee badge, plus early access to the exhibit hall each day – perfect if you want to look around the exhibit hall without the crowds.

  • Hotel Cost Reimbursement – We’ll cover ¼ of your hotel costs for Tuesday, June 10 to Sunday, June 15!

  • $60 of Expenses Reimbursement – After Origins, you’ll receive a reimbursement from us to help cover your convention expenses. It can be used to help offset your meal costs, or the spending spree you went on in the exhibit hall. This credit is not transferable.

You’d be responsible for meals, lodging, and travel from where you live to Origins and back.

Great! Please email our volunteer coordinator to apply as an Origins Hero Lab 2014 volunteer! If you’re interested, please contact us ASAP. We need to hear from you by the end of February at the latest to be considered.
